One nitpick: I noticed your SINK definition assumes the household has at least 2 adults. There are quite a few on the FIRE path who aren't in a relationship. I'm definitely a SINK because I'm single, not because I have an unemployed partner :)
(Also, was it a deliberate choice to spell "guac" with a Q?)
Very good point on SINK, I updated that to capture the single case (although my current wording is rather clunky). I can't believe I misspelled my beloved guac.
All good! It's hard to make not-clunky definitions; even the FIRE acronym itself is clunky. I like how you defined the differences between lean/fat/chubby/avoFIRE, there's no agreed-upon definition for them in FIRE circles but yours made a lot of sense to me.
I knew many of these but certainly didn't know "Avocado." In fact, I was going to ask you what was it that you had in your budget article as "Avocado Budget?" :)
The main thing to look out for is Avocado inflation! I needed to switch from organic to normal avocado's this year. The sacrifices we are forced to make :).
Avocado Fact: Planting an avocado seed will not yield the same fruit as the one it came from! They are all clones grown from cuttings and mostly grafted to different avocado varieties with stronger root systems.

Unless one is FAT fire..why spend the extra for organic anyway? Avocados have natural protection

Just plant a Haas Avocado tree and grow your own ;)

No, not from the seed. Buy a tree!
