The 1st Annual FAANG FIRE Survey is now closed. I am going to need more time to do a proper deep dive. Until then I will leave you with the base pie charts from Google Forms of a number of the questions asked.

64% of respondents are male.

Question 3: What is your marital status?

78% married or in a domestic partnership.

Lots of dual income households.

36% work at Meta and FAANG overall makes up 51%. 31% in other tech companies.

49% reporting >=$500,000 household income.

53% have a total net worth of between $1,000,000 and $2,999,999.

Question 11: What is your Annual Household Spend?

Very even split across the spend spectrum overall.

Question 12: What is your Target Household Net Worth to Achieve FIRE?

55% are targeting a household net worth of >$5,000,000 to achieve FIRE.

Question 13: How Many Years Until You Plan to Achieve FIRE?

32.8% of you are planning to FIRE in the next 6 years.

Question 14: Do you plan to relocate after achieving FIRE?

Bonus Sub-Analysis

Of Married readers with FIRE goal of more than $6,000,000, 55% would define that as Chubby/Avocado FIRE.

I am curious your initial thoughts on the data? I didn’t fully anticipate how few early career tech workers were among us. Or perhaps they are the most likely to skip taking survey’s?
